Your health information
Your medical records are held in the practice's clinical system, not on this website. They are handled under the Health Information Privacy Code 2020 and the Privacy Act 2020, and are shared only with the people involved in your care, with your consent, or where the law requires it. Ask at reception if you would like a copy of the practice's full patient privacy statement.
What this website collects
This website has no enquiry or booking form. You contact us by phone on (09) 535 1610 or by email at reception@howickmedical.co.nz, and the enrolment form is a PDF you print and return to the practice. When you email us we receive your name, email address and whatever you write, and we use it only to reply to you.
Our website host automatically logs standard technical information (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and to keep the site running. Any IP address recorded with a message sent through this website is kept for 90 days to detect spam and abuse, then deleted.
Cookies and analytics
The website uses only the cookies it needs to function. Where analytics are enabled they are used to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used; they do not identify you.
Who we share it with
Information sent through this website is seen by the practice team and by the providers who host the website and its email. They only see what they need to do their job. We do not sell personal information or pass it to marketers.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 and the Health Information Privacy Code you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to the records we must keep by law. Email reception@howickmedical.co.nz or call (09) 535 1610.
